Hello everyone!!
I hope everything is going well for you and everyone you know!
Well, my last post was during the pre-COVID-19 times.
After not writing anything for nearly 2.5 years, I’ve decided to dust off my blog. So, let’s begin with a funny one!
Sometimes, nothing beats the solace of your own company. And interestingly, some of our most unusual behavior happens when we’re alone. It's a completely judgment-free zone—no pressure to show off, no unmet expectations, no strange looks as you spew nonsense into the void. In fact, what we do is so random, we don’t really talk about it. Ever. Not even in a game of truth or dare. And you know what? It’s probably better that way. π
So go ahead, take off your goodie-goodie masks for the next few minutes and let’s be raw, real, and brutally honest—with no one but ourselves. Get ready to grin, as you realize that when it comes to things we do but won't admit, we’re all the same. ππ
1. Cringing at your own voice
That moment when you hear yourself in a voice note and instantly feel the need to apologize to everyone you’ve ever spoken to. π
*Nah… I don’t sound like this when I have fake arguments in my head.*
2. Eavesdropping on strangers' conversationsIf not, please stop lying to yourself. π¬
If you’ve ever taken mass transit, stood in a crowded cafΓ©, or just existed near people, you’ve “accidentally” overheard something and mentally given your opinion.
*Yes! Those shoes don’t look good*
Worse is when you see them again and secretly want a follow-up:
*So… did you return the ugly shoes?*
3. Talking to yourself
Of course I talk to myself. Sometimes I need expert advice.
To all those times you practiced an Oscar speech in your head but blurted out *I’m a potato* in real life. Or when you reenacted that embarrassing moment when you asked someone for directions… to the place you were already standing at.
(Cue dramatic facepalm as you realize Google Maps was invented for this very reason.)
4. Crazy home-alone behavior
Turning on all the lights and leaving the TV on just in case a burglar gets scared off by “Friends” reruns.
“Yes, because clearly, no thief ever strikes when there’s light and noise!” π
For that matter, when you sped up the stairs **nearly at speed of light** after watching a horror movie and were terrified to look back because your third eye kept telling you that someone was behind you with a hammerπ
.
There are some strange quirks that no one is immune to. **If you are an exception, Alert!! you might be a sociopath...Just Kidding π**. Feel free to rant in the judgement-free comments section if you have done anything similar. Stop Grinning and Start Speaking! Bye, Until Next Time!
OMG!!! I thought that conversing with ourselves is some symptom... Paravala ellarum ipditha irukkenga.... That's a relief.. And that eavesdropping π π that's true... That too in train travel... Namma slang la kekkum pothu innum nallarkum...
ReplyDeleteLot of us speak to ourselves I guess! So you are not alone Arun. Glad you could releate to it. :)
